What is the IWU Student Referral campaign?

We all know word-of-mouth is still one of the most powerful marketing options to ever exist. Through our new Student Referral Program, we are awarding alumni who refer a friend or relative to enroll in our university with a gift (with three options to choose from), as well as to show our appreciation for incoming referred students by giving them a $1,000 alumni scholarship.

Student Gets $1,000 Scholarship

Alumni will receive a gift at the completion of the referred student’s first course. Students, meanwhile, will receive their gift upon successful enrollment and engagement with a course (within 21-day window).

How do you refer a student?

The referral campaign will be managed by Enrollment, who will manage the disbursement of student scholarships and credits for prospects, evaluate enrollment and engagement, and purchase and deliver gifts.

Who is eligible for this program?

Alumni Referral Awards are available when any new, online prospective student officially is referred by an alumnus/a of the university by indicating the alumnus/a’s name in the referral form.

Alumni and referred students are eligible, provided students meet the minimum engagement requirements. There are no barriers for the students being enrolled - alumni can refer a friend, a relative, or anyone else they know, regardless of age or connection. Employees and relatives of IWU are not eligible. There is a limit to the number of people who can be referred, however.

The new student must successfully complete the first course of a degree program or eligible graduate certificate.
The referred student will receive a one-time $1,000 scholarship and the alumnus/a will receive his/her gift, after successful passing of the new student’s first course at IWU.
Referral Campaign is valid for online, domestic students only who start their program with IWU Online only.
